Our Campus

CCNS is located on the eastern side of the First Unitarian Church on 1300 East in Salt Lake City.

While CCNS facilities are housed in the First Unitarian Church, the school’s curriculum does not include any specific religious education. The Church believes in utilizing its facilities for benefit of the community and offers CCNS reasonable rent so that our school can remain affordable while appealing to a diverse population.

Each classroom has an art area, large play area, and snack area. Within our classrooms one will find toys that encourage creativity, exploration, and imaginative play. Further, they are designed to help children develop skills in cooperative play as they grow from 2 to 5.

One of our greatest assets is our large, shaded playground. During their outside time, our students are frequently found riding tricycles, “working” in the sand with construction vehicles, sledding down the hill in winter, or engaged in imaginary play and games with teachers and friends. The tire swing is a hallmark of the experience at CCNS. Parents and teachers engage in pushing children at “just the right height,” as dictated by the riders. Children’s laughter is frequently heard as they swing with friends at the center of the play structure.
