Proof of residence or an approved exception

A certified copy of the student’s birth certificate or other reliable proof of the student’s identity and age

A certified and complete immunization record or official immunization exemption

Open enrollment: Students who wish to attend a school other than their resident school may submit a Standard Open-Enrollment Application to Student Services during the early enrollment period, December 1 through the third Friday in February, for the upcoming school year. (link)

The Extended Learning Program (ELP) of the Salt Lake City School District offers educational opportunities for students in grades K-12 who show high academic abilities. In general, elementary students who may benefit from this program are working well above their age group in reading and mathematics. Secondary students who may benefit from this program are often those eligible for honors or advanced classes. All students regardless of gender, race, culture, or family income are eligible to apply
School-based ELP programs:
Neighborhood Part Time: Every elementary school; 2-4 hours of enrichment for selected students
Magnet Full-Time:Hawthorne and Whittier Elementary Schools (Full Time Extend Learning)
