CCNS is a cooperative nonprofit school. Member duties include paying tuition and being responsible for the organization and operation of the school. All members must pay tuition and co-op. Financial assistance applications are available here.
Tuition may be paid monthly or annually. Tuition that is paid monthly must be paid by the 5th of the month or a late fee will be applied.
Tuition costs monthly for the 2011-12 school year:
- Two-year-old class: $140
- Three-year-old class: $165
- Four-year-old class, 3 day option: $165
- Four-year-old class, 4 day option: $200
CCNS offers a half co-op option for those who show a need. Applications for a half co-op option can be found here. The half co-op option is not available for the Two-year-old classes. Tuition for the half co-op option for the 2011-2012 school year:
- Three-year-old class: $200
- Four-year-old class, 3 day option: $200
- Four-year-old class, 4 day option: $240
In addition to tuition payment, CCNS families are asked to contribute their time. Each enrolled family must also perform the following duties:
- Co-op: parents assist the teacher during class time approximately two times every four weeks in the older classes and one time every three weeks in the younger classes.
- Committee membership: Parents must participate on at least one “operating committee” during the year.
- Clean-up: Parents must participate in one of the four school wide clean-ups held during the year.
- Meetings: Parents must attend the school’s general meetings and class meetings. Children do not attend these meetings.
